NASA's mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research.

To do that, we have worked around the world -- and off it -- for more than 50 years, searching for answers to fundamental questions about our place in the universe. We're exploring space and discovering Earth. Join us for this exciting and important journey.

Fascinating! Millions on the streets dying of hunger and disease. Yet humanity don't give a f* and prefer to spend billions on something that has no purpose at all!!! You could compare it with a family where the kids are starving from malnutrition and neglect while mom and dad buy a Ferrari. Kinds of disgust me.

  15. Indrid Cold

With millions of people starving and living on streets, lets ignore them and spend billions on Mars! Forget Mars! Focus on the issues on Earth!!!

omg i have no signal to my phone on earth and NASA made a live stream from mars 450 millions km omg lol omg how many or what they use to communicate to earth a live hey hey hey hey you still fight china for 5 g self phone lolo lololoolololo

    1. David Jack

This was not live streamed from Mars, by the way. The communications satellites above Mars could not handle the bandwidth necessary to stream a high quality video, and it would also be delayed by several minutes due to the distance of Mars. What you're seeing is the live stream of the landing itself that only included data/telemetry that was delayed mixed with the video recorded by the rover which was sent back to Earth over the next few days.

  31. dante bloxam

I know I’m late....but CONGRATULATIONS NASA!!!!! This is simply amazing. I can’t believe I’m watching video of Mar’s surface. This is crazy....How much math did it take to make this happen?!
